  • Operate the truck in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations, ensuring the safe transport from origin to destination.
  • Verify assigned TABS Booking slot for pickup and drop off. (Charges due to late Inbound to port, non-commitment of driver is charge to driver.)
  • Complete delivery logs, inspection reports, and any necessary regulatory paperwork, such as department forms/slips and customs documents.
  • Address any concerns or issues from clients, such as delays or damages, promptly and professionally.
  • Perform routine inspections of the vehicle and trailer, ensuring it is in safe operating condition before and during the trip.
  • Report any maintenance needs or breakdowns to management and follow appropriate procedures for repair or replacement.
  • Follow company procedures for safety, environmental protocols, and operational guidelines.
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner during Interactions with clients, co-workers, and the public.

Qualifications:

  • At least high school diploma/level or equivalent
  • Driver's license with 123-8 or 23-8 code
  • Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
  • At least 3 years of experience driving heavy trucks or commercial vehicles
  • Previous experience in freight or logistics-related driving roles is preferred
  • Capacity to work long hours, including overnight trips and weekend driving
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues during transit
  • Strong knowledge on road signs and road regulations
