Duties & Responsibilities

A. Accounts Receivable (AR) Supervision

  • Monitor customer credit verification for new accounts.
  • Oversee counter collection and collection scheduling.
  • Review and validate collector's daily itinerary and remittance reports.
  • Supervise timely collection of payments and manage aging of receivables.
  • Ensure accurate recording and updating of customer accounts.
  • Verify all deductions, claims, credit memos, and add-backs.
  • Oversee reconciliation of withholding taxes (EWT) and return-to-vendor bad orders (RTV-BO).

B. Accounts Payable (AP) Supervision

  • Ensure invoices are processed accurately and paid on time.
  • Maintain and reconcile the Accounts Payable ledger.
  • Validate charges, ensuring timely settlement with vendors.
  • Investigate and resolve billing/payment discrepancies.

C. Reporting, Analysis & Compliance

  • Prepare and review financial reports, highlighting trends, inefficiencies, or opportunities for cost savings.
  • Monitor accounting data to ensure compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Approve Credit Memos and recommend corrective actions or system improvements.
  • Safeguard all accounting records and documents.
  • Prepare Incident Reports (IR) for any policy or procedural violations discovered.

D. Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise, train, and guide AR and AP staff, ensuring task coordination and compliance.
  • Encourage teamwork and accountability across the department.
  • Enforce adherence to internal and external reporting deadlines (weekly, monthly, annual).
  • Support the company's mission, vision, and values in daily activities.

Authorities

  • Approve documents, give instructions, and make decisions related to AR/AP operations within management guidelines.
  • Recommend promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and termination of subordinates.
  • Provide recommendations to superiors regarding process improvements and department matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accounting Supervisor in a manufacturing or FMCG setup (preferred)
