QUALIFICATIONS:

· Has at least 2 to 3 years working experience as an auto mechanic.

· At least high school diploma or equivalent.

· Familiarity with all types of vehicles.  Knowledge in European cars is an advantage but not a must.

· Knowledgeable with the latest technologies (Scanner/Automotive Tools).

· Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.

· Ability to follow complex instructions with minimal supervision and can work independently.

· Valid driver's license (if applicable).

· Willing to work from Monday to Saturday or holidays as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Utilize diagnostic tools and procedures to accurately identify and pinpoint mechanical issues.

· Perform repairs on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, etc.

· Troubleshoot complex issues and identify the root cause of problems.

· Perform overhaul assessment and preventive maintenance services.

· Perform under chassis inspection and repair.

· Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

· Repairing and replacing equipment and parts.

· Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.

· Test the functionality of parts and systems.

· Maintaining good knowledge of various testing equipment.

· Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts for the repair.

· Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

· Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean.

· Notifies supervisor immediately if anything happened that changed the appearance or condition of the vehicle.

· Saves and tags parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.

· Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.

· Helps keep repair shop clean and organized.

· Keep a professional appearance all the time.

· Other tasks that may be assigned.
