Job Summary:

Responsible for the design, evaluation, and implementation of architectural fire protection systems in compliance with Philippine codes and international standards. This role involves close collaboration with engineers, architects, contractors, and government agencies to ensure the safety of building occupants and the protection of property from fire hazards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop fire protection designs and integrate them into overall architectural plans.
  • Coordinate with Fire Protection Engineers in the design of fire suppression, alarm, and detection systems.
  • Prepare and submit Fire Safety Evaluation Clearance (FSEC) and Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (FSIC) requirements to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and propose architectural solutions to minimize risks.
  • Review construction documents for fire safety compliance.
  • Assist in obtaining permits and approvals from relevant authorities.
  • Participate in fire drills, inspections, and audits as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide technical support during construction to ensure compliance with approved fire protection designs.
  • Attend coordination meetings with project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Architect (PRC Registered)
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in fire safety or fire protection design (experience with commercial, industrial, or high-rise projects is a plus)
  • Familiar with RA 9514, PD 1096, and other relevant codes
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD or similar architectural design tools
  • Strong understanding of fire-resistant materials and passive fire protection techniques
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
