Technical Expertise:

· Utilise AWS services, including AWS MediaServices, AWS Cognito, AWS Lambda, S3 encryption & signed URLs, CloudFront, and CloudFormation, to build and manage scalable applications.

· Apply modern security practices and manage cloud infrastructure components, including VPC, DNS, IAM Users/Roles/Policies, SSL certificates, and encryption, while understanding the trade-offs of a serverless environment.

· Utilise AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and support secure, scalable, and maintainable software delivery. Adherence to Company Standards:

· Follow company policies, procedures, and best practices for software development and project management.

· Participate in annual training and adhere to the company's integrated management system policies and procedures.

DESIRED FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· A Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering or similar

· Minimum of 3 - 5 years' work experience in a similar role.

· Backend API Development: Proficiency in and Java; experience with AWS cloud services.

· Frontend Development: Experience with and Material UI; strong skills in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

· Cloud Infrastructure and Security: Knowledge of AWS services (e.g., AWS MediaServices, AWS Cognito, AWS Lambda, S3 encryption & signed URLs, CloudFront, CloudFormation); understanding of cloud infrastructure components (VPC, DNS, IAM Users/Roles/Policies, SSL certificates, encryption); awareness of serverless environment trade-offs.

· Collaboration and Communication: Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams; clear communication of complex technical details to diverse stakeholders.

· Project Management: Skills in estimating project timelines, resource needs, and technical requirements; ability to assess and manage technical risks.

· Documentation and Reporting: Proficiency in documenting development processes, coding standards, and technical specifications; experience in maintaining technical documentation and providing project updates.

· Continuous Improvement: Engagement in professional development and staying current with industry trends.

· Adherence to Standards: Knowledge of company policies and best practices for software development and project management.

Job Type: Full-time
