We are looking for a detail oriented college graduate to join our team as a Receiving Clerk. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who want to build a career in retail operations, supply chain, or inventory management. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for accurately receiving and verifying deliveries, ensuring product quality, and supporting efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Check perishable items (produce, meat, dairy, frozen) for quality, freshness, and expiration dates.
- Record deliveries accurately in the inventory or receiving system.
- Report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the Receiving Supervisor.
- Ensure items are properly labeled, stored in the correct areas (dry, chilled, frozen), and transferred promptly to departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the receiving dock and storage rooms.
- Support stock rotation (FIFO), shelf replenishment, and inventory counts when required.
- Follow supermarket safety, hygiene, and food handling standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, inventory systems preferred).
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically fit to handle goods and perform manual tasks.
