Cloud Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Infrastructure & Application Support Specialist to join our team and support the retail solutions portfolio for TGCS.

The Cloud Infrastructure & Application Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the end-to-end operations of enterprise applications and the underlying cloud infrastructure that hosts them. This includes deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of both cloud services and third-party or open-source enterprise software. The ideal candidate brings cross-functional expertise across infrastructure, DevOps, and application domains, with proficiency in widely adopted platforms and tools.

Cloud Infrastructure Operations:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Ensure infrastructure performance, cost optimization, and high availability.

Enterprise Application & Middleware Support:

• Provide operational support for enterprise applications deployed on cloud or hybrid environments.
• Support middleware stacks (e.g., Apache Tomcat, Nginx, HAProxy, JBoss/Wildfly) and ensure performance, patching, and configuration are maintained.
• Manage application life cycles across dev/test/prod environments and maintain environment consistency.

Open Source & Third-Party Software Stack Support:

• Manage and support modern open-source components commonly used in enterprise environments, including:

• Containerization and Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm

• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, Redis
• Messaging and Streaming: RabbitMQ, Kafka, ActiveMQ
• Monitoring and Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Fluentd, Graylog
• CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD, Flux
• Version Control & Code Repositories: Git, GitHub, Bitbucket
• Security and Secrets Management: Vault by HashiCorp, Keycloak, Certbot, OpenSSL
• Backup and Recovery Tools: Velero, Restic, Rsync

Monitoring, Automation & DevOps Integration:

• Develop and maintain system health checks, dashboards, and alerts to ensure proactive issue detection.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Contribute to DevOps pipelines and manage deployment strategies (e.g., rolling updates, blue/green deployments).

Security & Compliance:

• Implement IAM, role-based access control (RBAC), SSL/TLS certificates, and network security groups.
• Support audit and compliance efforts including data protection, vulnerability remediation, and configuration baselining.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Collaborate with developers, application owners, security teams, and end-users to ensure service reliability.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation including system architecture, runbooks, and incident reports.

• Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience:

• 3–6 years of experience in systems administration, cloud operations, or application support.

• Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise applications deployed on Linux/Unix and/or Windows platforms.
• Strong exposure to open-source tools used in production environments.

• Technical Proficiencies:

• Proficiency in managing Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and/or Windows Server environments.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing.
• Experience with one or more relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with software packaging and configuration management.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer

• DevOps & Kubernetes:

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate

• Others:

• ITIL Foundation

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical thinking and ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
• Capable of managing competing priorities and working under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to liaise effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Under normal circumstances, you will be expected to work either at our office or on a customer site 3 times a week, with the flexibility to work from home twice a week.

However, depending on the project phase, you may be required to:

• Work on-site at the customer's project location for the entire week.
• Work outside of standard office hours based on project needs.
