Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Video Editor & Researcher to join our faceless YouTube channel focused on Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller who can craft engaging, dynamic video content that captivates our audience.

You will be responsible for editing high-quality videos and conducting research to source relevant clips, facts, and information about MMA fighters, techniques, and historical moments. This role requires a deep understanding of MMA and video production techniques.

This is a long-term freelance opportunity with 1-3 videos minutes each) to be produced weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Editing:

  • Edit and assemble raw footage, highlight clips, and audio into polished, engaging YouTube videos.
  • Create visually captivating transitions, effects, and graphics to enhance video quality.
  • Ensure videos align with YouTube standards and are optimized for audience retention.

Research:

  • Source accurate and compelling clips, stats, and information about fighters, matches, and techniques.
  • Collaborate with the scriptwriting team to provide supporting visuals and details for storytelling.
  • Stay updated on MMA trends, news, and key events to ensure content relevance.

Content Enhancement:

  • Add subtitles, background music, and sound effects to enhance the viewing experience.
  • Craft clear visuals to simplify complex techniques or historical narratives for the audience.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the scriptwriting team to align visuals with scripts.
  • Maintain consistent video quality and style to reflect the channel's branding.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio of YouTube or MMA-related content.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
  • Strong research skills with the ability to source and organize high-quality video and information.
  • Familiarity with YouTube optimization techniques, including retention strategies, titles, and thumbnails.
  • A keen interest and knowledge of MMA, including fighters, techniques, and history.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in sound design or working with sound designers.
  • Basic graphic design skills for simple infographics and video overlays.
  • Understanding of YouTube analytics and audience engagement metrics.
