Role Overview

Job Title: Video Editor

Reports To: Social Media Manager & Creative Strategist

Contract Type: Full-Time, Remote (Philippines)

Compensation: Flat retainer of $1,000 USD per month

As a Video Editor, you'll edit both short-form and long-form content that engages, inspires, and performs on every platform. You'll collaborate with our social and creative teams to turn client and company footage into polished, platform-optimized edits that drive results.

Key Responsibilities

Short-Form & Long-Form Editing

  • Edit short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn & Facebook.
  • Edit long-form content for YouTube.
  • Cut down long-form footage into 15–60 second clips.

Creative Editing & Storytelling

  • Add captions, text overlays, motion graphics, sound effects, and music to elevate storytelling.
  • Follow brand guidelines while maintaining originality and creativity.
  • Incorporate platform-specific hooks, CTAs, and retention tactics.

Collaboration & Efficiency

  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager and Creative Strategist to align edits with campaign goals.
  • Stay up to date with trends on TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and other platforms.
  • Organize and manage footage, project files, and exports efficiently.

Role Requirements

Hard Skills

  • 3+ years of experience editing content for brands, agencies, or creators.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (Lightroom, Photoshop, or Illustrator a plus).
  • Strong audio editing, pacing, and storytelling instincts.
  • Understanding of platform-optimized editing and audience engagement tactics.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Creative mindset with a strong eye for detail.

Bonus Skills

  • Motion graphics and design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva).
  • Experience working with multiple clients, creators, or influencers.
