  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a Japanese restaurant / Japanese dining environment
  • Solid understanding of Japanese cuisine, with the skill to prepare authentic dishes including tempura, ramen, donburi, yakitori, teishoku and other traditional Japanese offerings
  • Skilled in cooking, plating, and presenting diverse dishes while upholding excellent flavor and presentation standards
  • Well-versed in food safety, hygiene protocols, and proper handling practices, with the ability to maintain a neat and orderly workstation
  • Knowledge of portion control and food costing principles
  • Experience across different service formats such as Kaiseki, Omakase, banquets, and ala carte dining
  • Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision, delivering accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail at a fast pace
  • Flexible with work schedules and willing to cover weekends and holidays depending on the need
