Project Engineer

Educational Background: graduate of BS Civil Engineering

License Requirement/ Accreditation (if any): Licensed Civil Engineer

Years of Work Experience (Relevant to the Area of Professional Expertise): With at least 3 to 5 years experience in Construction

Competencies (Knowledge / Skills / Attitude) Has knowledge and skills in MRB and High-rise construction

Land Acquisition Percentage % of Time: 15%

• Assists the Technical Services Manager in drawing up of initial masterplan and preliminary data sheet for financial study.

• Assists Technical Services Manager in the technical due diligence.

Assists the technical Services Manager in securung the area upon purchase.

Planning & Development Percentage % of Time: 10%

• Actively participates in design coordination Reviews and completes all plans for permit requirements (LGU specific building code) Collates and acquires regulatory permits.

• Drafts concepts and schematic design of project for approval.

• Assists the TS Manager in reviewing schematics, standardize specs and finishes.

• Identifies Engineering Studies (TDDs) required for the project and breaks down the project into contract packages prior to bidding.

• Engages Design and Technical Consultants.

• Assists Technical Services Manager in the preparation of a procurement plan and breaks down the project into contract packages (WBS) for approval prior to bidding.

• Plans projects and defines the engineering criteria and terms of reference for the project at every stage sign off.

• Assists the Technical Services Manager in the Quantity Surveying and the Value Engineering Initiatives for the project.

Project Implementation and Delivery Percentage % of Time: 50%

• Assists the TS Manager in evaluating existing design standards and checks the implementation of approved for construction drawing plans.

• Assists TS Manager in reviews construction contracts and NTPs.

• Plans and coordinates a project from start to finish, including organizing the schedule of work, costings, and budget. Manage the assigned construction site including monitoring contractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control.

• Attend client and contractors meetings with TS Manager to inform them of progress on the project and discusses issues and concerns of the project.

• Evaluates the progress of works and submits daily, weekly, and monthly detailed construction activity reports.

• Ensures the project/s assigned is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing on budgets, and monitoring progress.

• Acquires post-construction permits.

• Completes punchlists prior to turnover to property management. Witnesses the Testing and Commissioning.

• Recommends issuance of Certificate of Completion and Acceptance of contractors. Recommends and processes release of retention to contractors.

• Turnovers the property to the Property Management Group.

• Prepares the Construction Completion Report. Ensures that the as-built plans are complete and reflective of the built structure.

Internal Customer Support Percentage % of Time: 15%

• Property Management 4.1.1 Checks and approves any renovation project done by the property management.

• Audits existing projects and recommends actions to be taken to align to property's maintenance with company standards.

High Performing and Engaged Team Percentage % of Time: 10%

• Sets the direction in developing the team members' objectives; ensures that performance metrics are regularly monitored

• provides regular feedback (positive & constructive) to team members on their performance to keep them engaged.

• Mentors and guides the team members to navigate & address the business/ operational challenges & difficult situations to achieve the desired results.

• Oversees and supervises technical services personnel, and assesses their performance.

• Identifies the competency gaps and provides the appropriate development solutions to continuously upskill the team members.
