Project Architect

We seek a Project Architect with leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen to manage architectural projects from design to completion. This role ensures designs meet client needs, regulatory standards, and project goals while adhering to budgets and schedules. The Project Architect leads the design team, collaborates with stakeholders, oversees execution, and serves as the main client contact, driving innovation, quality, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Development

• Conceptualize and design innovative architectural solutions that meet client and project objectives.
• Prepare architectural specifications, including materials, finishes, and workmanship standards.
• Create detailed 3D models and renderings for design visualization and client presentations.
• Translate concepts into complete and accurate working drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support to resolve complex design issues and verify project feasibility.
• Conduct site audits and ensure construction aligns with approved designs and specifications.
• Manage materials library and coordinate with suppliers for up-to-date samples and data.

2. Drawings & Documentation

• Produce accurate architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, and details.
• Maintain design and documentation schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, HOA requirements, and quality benchmarks.
• Assemble complete working packages for engineers and consultants.
• Conduct quality checks on in-house and outsourced work for accuracy and compliance.

3. Consultant & Client Coordination

• Coordinate with consultants for design inputs, quotations, and deliverables.
• Manage transmission of design packages and revisions to all stakeholders.
• Monitor consultant invoices and ensure timely payments upon verified completion.
• Collaborate with Field Engineers and clients to ensure design intent is maintained on-site.
• Manage client updates, presentations, and walkthroughs to address design-related concerns.
• Support the permitting and approval process by providing accurate and complete documentation.

4. Construction & Project Management

• Review and coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs) and Approvals (RFAs).
• Conduct regular site inspections to confirm compliance with approved drawings.
• Coordinate Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) processes and ensure quality integration.
• Monitor project progress to ensure architectural milestones are met on time and within budget.

5. Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

• Act as the primary liaison with Homeowners Associations (HOA) for design approvals.
• Promote clear communication and collaboration among internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Support Field Engineers in addressing site-related design issues.

6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Research and recommend innovative technologies and design solutions.
• Drive process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
• Contribute to business development by supporting design proposals and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• Licensed Architect.
• Minimum of 3–5 years relevant experience in architectural design and documentation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, or other design software.
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with clients and project stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
