Job Summary:

The Truck Driver is responsible for operating company trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently to designated locations. The role requires adherence to traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards while ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive company trucks for delivery and transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
  • Inspect vehicles daily to ensure roadworthiness (fuel, oil, brakes, tires, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip records, and mileage reports.
  • Follow all traffic rules, safety regulations, and company procedures.
  • Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of goods as per schedule.
  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or delays to the supervisor immediately.
  • Assist with minor vehicle maintenance (checking oil, water, tire pressure).
  • Keep the truck clean, presentable, and in good working condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license (appropriate to vehicle type; e.g., Heavy/Light Truck).
  • Proven experience as a Truck Driver or in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of traffic rules, road safety, and routes.
  • Ability to handle long hours of driving and physical work (loading/unloading).
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Honest, reliable, and safety-conscious.

Work Conditions:

  • On-road driving, local or long-distance (as per company needs).
  • May require night shifts, weekends, or overtime.
  • Physical work including lifting and moving goods.
