About the role

Manila Bankers Life Insurance Corp is seeking an experienced and skilled Accounting Manager (CPA) to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the company's financial accounting and reporting functions. What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  2. Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
  3. Coordinate the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies
  4. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data
  5. Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to the management team
  6. Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  7. Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
  2. Thorough understanding of financial accounting principles, practices, and regulations
  3. Proficient in the use of accounting software and data analysis tools
  4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think strategically
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
  6. Proven track record of managing and developing a team of accounting professionals
