Job Summary

The Medical Technologist is responsible for analyzing patient samples to aid disease diagnosis and treatment. This role involves performing various laboratory tests, operating equipment, maintaining quality control, and reporting results to physicians. The Medical Technologist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely test results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving, identifying, and processing various biological samples (urine, blood, tissue, etc.)
  • Preparing samples for analysis including centrifugation, dilution and staining.
  • Ensuring proper labeling, storage, and disposal of samples.
  • Conducting a wide range of tests in areas like hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology and molecular biology.
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment (microscopes, automated analyzers, etc.)
  • Performing quality control checks on equipments and test results.
  • Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and resolving quality issues.
  • Ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
  • Recording and documenting test results accurately and timely.
  • Maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
  • Adhering to safety regulations and infection control procedures.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
  • Must be a Registered Medical Technologists (RMTs).
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques and quality control.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant experience is desirable but not a requirement.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
