Job Title: Chef's Assistant (Kitchen Support & Cleaning Lead)

Reports to: Chef / Kitchen Lead

Location: White Plains Creator House – Downstairs Service Kitchen (Stay-in Position)

Shift: Rotates between meal prep, cleaning, and overnight kitchen reset

Employment Type: Full-time (Contract-to-Hire)

Role Purpose

The Chef's Assistant supports all aspects of kitchen operation: ingredient prep, dishwashing, cleaning, inventory, and meal delivery to the office.

They ensure that the kitchen runs continuously and efficiently so the Chef can focus on cooking and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

● Prep vegetables, marinate proteins, and portion ingredients for the next meal cycle.

● Wash dishes, sanitize counters, and organize storage containers immediately after each service.

● Manage laundry of kitchen linens, aprons, and towels.

● Clean stoves, sinks, and floors after each cooking session.

● Coordinate with the Housekeepers to keep dining and break areas spotless.

● Handle daily errands: buying fresh produce, collecting meal orders, or delivering packed meals to the office.

● Report supply shortages or equipment issues to the Chef immediately.

Qualifications

● 2+ years experience as a kitchen helper, house cook, or cleaner in restaurant or catering.

● Organized and able to follow instructions precisely.

● Physically fit and capable of handling fast-paced kitchen environments.

● Values hygiene and discipline.

KPIs (First 60 Days)

● Maintain 100% kitchen readiness between meals.

● No delayed meal service due to prep or cleaning issues.

● Establish a routine cleaning checklist approved by Chef.

Living Arrangement

● Both Chef and Assistant stay in the downstairs staff quarters, adjacent to the laundry and kitchen.

● Each has bunk access, private storage, and shared use of kitchen and lounge area.

● Working hours rotate to keep the kitchen operational from 6 AM to midnight (no overnight cooking unless needed).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php25,000.00 per month
