JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Purchase materials

· Research potential vendors/suppliers

· Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers

· Request quotations

· Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing

· Track orders and ensure timely delivery

· Track/follow up deliveries (job site and supplier)

· Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices

· Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

· Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends

· Interact with the suppliers and site warehouseman on a day to day basis

· Review deliveries against the orders

· Deal with non supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods

· Ensure that any invoices are sent to accounts for payments

· Generally help out with small purchases, reviews and inventory matters

· Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases

· Create and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers

· Collaborate with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters
