We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize a scalable data infrastructure supporting high-volume transactional systems, analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex data environments, enjoys optimizing data workflows, and has deep experience with AWS-based data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Design, implement, and optimize OLTP and OLAP data schemas for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Build and manage robust ETL pipelines integrating data between Aurora (MySQL), AWS Redshift, and other systems.
  • Apply best practices in data governance, security, and performance optimization across the data ecosystem.
  • Partner with data scientists and analysts to ensure reliable data availability for analytics and machine learning workloads.
  • Leverage Python and ORM frameworks for data modeling, transformation, and workflow automation.
  • Monitor database health and performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.
  • Utilize AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, and Lambda for scalable data processing solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, database architecture, or related roles.
  • Strong expertise in AWS Redshift, Aurora/MySQL, and relational database systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with ORM frameworks.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines for large-scale transactional and analytical data.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling best practices for OLTP and OLAP workloads.
  • Experience supporting high-throughput transactional systems with strong data integrity requirements.
  • Strong command of SQL optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to machine learning workflows and integrating ML models into data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift data warehousing best practices.
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures and cloud-native data solutions.
  • Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics (preferred).

Pay: Php150, Php180,000.00 per month
