JOB SUMMARY:

The Commis Chef is responsible for the production and preparation of meal plans, other non-pastry products and packed food. Responsibility covers from mise-en-place to finished product packaging. Ensures execution of recipes and procedures according to company standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In charge of the production and preparation of meal plans, other non-baked products and packed food.
  • Responsible for the requesting, monitoring, inventory of raw materials related to his production.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen area.
  • Ensures proper Food Safety and Sanitation standards while on duty.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and recording of spoilages and wastages related to his daily production.
  • Ensures production quotas and deadlines are met before the time of fulfillment.
  • Follows standard recipes and procedures for all types of production.
  • Monitors the condition of all equipment in his area and reports any malfunctions to the CHEF DE PARTIE for preventive maintenance.
  • Monitors the stock levels of all packaging materials (food containers, boxes, trays), labels, stickers and other consumable items in the packing of Healthy Meals and is responsible for requesting for additional supplies.
  • Ensures proper plating procedure and portioning is correct for all meal plan packs.
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct of the Company.
  • May be assigned tasks not covered by the above regular responsibilities.

JOB QUALIFICATION:

  • College Graduate / College level - Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent
  • Culinary studies is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • At least 2 year experience in similar industry
  • Willing to work in shifting schedule
  • Male/Female

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php18,000.00 per month
