What you'll be doing

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering team to achieve the company's goals and objectives
  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Manage and coordinate the work of the engineering team, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing feedback and support
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering function
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of engineering solutions with other business areas
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology advancements to inform the company's engineering strategy
  • Mentor and develop the engineering team, providing guidance and support for their professional growth

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Engineering or related course
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supervisor or Assistant manager, preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing engineering teams
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
  • Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
