Import/Export Logistics Staff

Department: Logistics / Supply Chain

Location: Calamba City, Laguna

Reports To: Logistics Senior Manager

Employment Type: Full-time


Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import/Export Logistics Staff member to manage and coordinate international shipments, ensure compliance with customs regulations, and optimize shipping processes. The ideal candidate will handle documentation, liaise with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of goods across borders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and monitor import/export shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and process shipping and customs documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.).
  • Communicate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and suppliers.
  • Track and trace shipments, and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Handle import/export licenses, permits, and related applications.
  • Verify shipping and freight invoices, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams for inventory flow and order fulfillment.
  • Assist in cost control by identifying shipping inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
  • Assist in compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and industry standards relevant to plastic materials and products.
  • Support and monitor the timely clearance of goods at ports and delivery to the manufacturing site or customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of shipments, documentation, and vendor communications.
  • Assist in the analysis of logistics costs and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
  • Work closely with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate planning and inventory flow.
  • Support the Logistics Manager in preparing reports and audits related to import/export activities.

Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Export Management or Customs Administration or related field.
  • Proven experience in import/export or logistics roles (1-3 years minimum preferred).
  • Familiarity with customs regulations, PEZA, and international shipping procedures.
  • Knowledge of logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willing to work in Calamba City, Laguna

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Exposure to ISO standards or quality systems used in manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of Free Trade Agreements (FTA), HS Codes, and tariff classifications.
