Roles Responsibilities:

  • Development of 2D CAD Design drawings models working in close collaboration with the team. An emphasis upon design coordination and clash detection with MEP services particularly important.
  • Ensure that specifications, drawings, and calculations meet the project design brief, industry and legal and quality standards
  • Adopt a holistic view in the selection and application of ICT infrastructure design concepts and solutions
  • Coordination of ICT design with related engineering disciplines, e.g. mechanical and electrical

Role Requirements:

You will need to posses the following professional and technical expertise:

  • Degree in telecommunications/Electronics/IT Engineering with at least 2 years' appropriate experience in ICT infrastructure design
  • Hands on experience in ICT infrastructure design for construction, commercial building construction
  • Technical qualifications and design experience in the following technologies:
  • Structure Cabling Systems, Fiber Optic Networks, Data Cabling and containments systems, IP/Ethernet Data Network (LAN/WAN), Wireless Data (WiFi), In-building Distributed Antenna System (DAS)
  • Industry qualifications such as Cisco CCNA or higher
  • Appreciation of ICT implications related to MEP building systems, network security engineering, and power supply and cooling systems
  • Ability to use to a high competency leve, AutoCAD and Bluebeam (production of overlay drawings, schematics and markups)
  • Working knowledge of revit is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of design and construction stages from conception to practical completion and LoD required
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications Word, Excel, Visio, etc. Ability to use IT based calculations and spreadsheet software
  • Good understanding of building design standards/regulations/codes and relevant IT systems certification standards
  • Ability to prioritize own workload, work to deadlines
  • Sound knowledge of Key Health and Safety Issues and legislation
  • Technical ownership of work packages, ability to problem solve
  • Good communications, presentation and engagement skills
  • Sound commercial awareness
