Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing various accounting and clerical tasks to support the organization's financial operations. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with reconciliations and basic financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems and spreadsheets.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and follow up on outstanding accounts.
- Record Maintenance: Organize and maintain financial documents, files, and records for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
- Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements and identifying or resolving financial discrepancies.
- Reporting: Prepare and generate basic financial reports and summaries as required.
- Communication: Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial transactions and inquiries.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Other Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
- Educational Attainment: High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Experience: Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Other Requirements: Basic understanding of financial principles and the ability to analyze financial data.
