Software Quality Engineering Team Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Quality Assurance (QA) Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation and a proven track record of leading QA teams to deliver high-quality software products. As a QA Team Lead, you will be hands on as well as be responsible for overseeing the QA team, developing and implementing testing strategies, and ensuring the delivery of robust and reliable software solutions across a portfolio of client projects.  This is a new role and will help

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance Strategy:

2. Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and test plans.

3. Coordinate with product management, development, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and deliverables.
4. Ensure adherence to QA standards and processes across the team.

5. Testing and Reporting:

6. Conduct and Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure software quality.

7. Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
8. Prepare and present detailed reports on testing activities, results, and key metrics to stakeholders.

9. Process Improvement:

10. Continuously evaluate and refine QA processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

11. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing.
12. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team.

13. Leadership and Team Management:

14. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers.

15. Set clear goals and expectations for team members and conduct regular coaching and performance reviews.
16. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

17. Test Automation:

18. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.

19. Implement best practices for test automation and ensure high levels of test coverage.
20. Continuously evaluate and improve automation tools and processes.
21. Leverage AI‑driven testing platforms to auto‑generate, optimize, and execute test cases, using machine‑learning insights to expand coverage, cut regression time, and surface high‑risk defects earlier in the life cycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Appium, etc.).
• Hands‑on experience (or strong interest) in AI‑enabled test generation and self‑healing automation tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and Python
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Must be fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or related areas.
• Experience with or Knowledge of AI-enabled testing strategies
