2nd Mate / 2nd Officer – Domestic Dredging Vessel

Sta. Rita Maritime Services Inc. is urgently hiring a qualified and experienced 2nd Mate / 2nd Officer for deployment on a domestic dredging vessel. We are looking for a responsible and skilled officer who can support the vessel's navigational and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chief Mate in navigation, dredging operations, and safety management.
• Stand navigational watches and monitor bridge operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, maritime laws, and company procedures.
• Maintain and update navigational charts and publications.
• Conduct safety drills and inspections as required.
• Support the daily maintenance of deck equipment and vessel operations.

Qualifications:

• Valid 2nd Mate or 2nd Officer License (Domestic)
• Valid Seaman's Book, MARINA Certificates, and required COPs
• Updated Medical Certificate for Service at Sea
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience as 2nd Mate / 2nd Officer on similar vessels
• Familiar with domestic trade routes and dredging operations is an advantage
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
• Willing to comply with company training and deployment requirements
