Electromechanical Technician

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on electromechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, and control systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of wastewater treatment processes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential problems before they escalate.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to develop and implement maintenance plans and upgrade projects.
• Document all maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition, to maintain accurate records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Respond to emergency service calls and participate in after-hours on-call rotation as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training NCII (Electrician) in electromechanical systems preferred.
• Proven experience as an Electromechanical Technician or similar role, preferably in a wastewater treatment or industrial environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and other control systems used in wastewater treatment facilities.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment, to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as participate in on-call rotation.
