CMS Developer (PHP / Symfony)

The company works with major travel brands, including airlines, to design and deliver world-class digital applications.

We are looking for an ambitious CMS Developer (PHP / Symfony) to join our engineering team. This is a full-time role based at our new development centre in Manila.

The ideal candidate should enjoy the challenge of joining a young, growing company. They need to take pride in delivering exceptional solutions to improve the travel technology industry and be part of the team to influence the technical direction.

What the role involves

·       Working in a growing team to evolve our industry-leading Website Portal platform for the travel industry, based on the open-source Pimcore DXP web content management system.

·       Work with Product and UX teams to elaborate requirements and develop a technology roadmap and architecture

·       Hands-on architecture, design and coding

·       Implement and enhance effective agile dev practices e.g. CI, TDD.

·       Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, tools and development practices

Experience required

Key technologies:

o   Developing REST-ful back-end CMS services using PHP / Symfony

o   At least basic HTML5, CSS3 and JS

o   JSON/REST, GraphQL and SOAP/XML API design and integration

o   AWS (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, S3), Redis, Nginx or Apache, PHP-FPM, Git

Desired experience:

o   Pimcore DXP or other Symfony-based CMS / digital platforms

o   Websites monitoring and analytics

o   We performance optimisation

o   Web security

o   Devops including cloud hosting, especially AWS

  • Track record of designing and building mission-critical, high performance mobile applications for the general public
  • Strong team delivery focus - building solutions (not just technology) through Scrum-based team work

Additional experience (bonus):

o   Airline or Travel related mobile apps

o   eCommerce platforms integration (for storefronts), website portal development and CRM/CDP integration experience

o   Developing front-end components using JavaScript / TypeScript, ReactJS

o   Developing back-end services with Java/Spring

o   CDN deployment (Cloudflare, Akamai etc.)
