  • Collaborate with customers and teams to define and refine technical requirements.
  • Lead architectural design, enforce technology standards, and evolve core services.
  • Support squads through ideation, design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Set clear system objectives while empowering engineers to own architecture decisions.
  • Report technical progress, challenges, and solutions to Area Leads and stakeholders.
  • Remove blockers and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Lead incident response, postmortems, and reliability improvements.
  • Coordinate integration, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks across squads.
  • Contribute to project planning, prioritization, and execution.
  • Participate in audits, risk assessments, and SDLC governance.
  • Help define department goals and implementation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience in backend development, with a strong focus on:

  • Java 8, Java 11 or higher

  • Spring Boot
  • Spring Framework
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Code Versioning Tools (e.g Git, Bitbucket, and Subversion)
  • RESTful API Development
  • Proven track record of mentoring and developing engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
  • Strong software architecture and design skills, with the ability to guide end-to-end solution development.
  • Deep understanding of industry-standard best practices, development lifecycle processes, and methodologies.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and applying iterative development principles.
  • Skilled in using metrics and data to inform architectural decisions and technology strategy.
