Role Summary

The 
Data Engineer

will be part of the 
Data Analytics team

, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure within a 
Microsoft Azure environment

. The role involves integrating data from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the organization's end-to-end data integration and analytics initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain 
    data pipelines

to ingest, transform, and integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple systems.
- Develop and optimize 
ETL/ELT processes

using Azure tools such as 
Data Factory

, 
Synapse

, or 
Microsoft Fabric (Data Warehouse, Dataflows, Lakehouse)

.
- Implement and maintain 
data integrity

, 
quality controls

, and 
governance frameworks

to ensure reliable data delivery.
- Collaborate with 
cross-functional teams

to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain 
Power BI reports and dashboards

, including 
data modelling

and 
DAX calculations

.
- Ensure timely project delivery through 
agile sprint planning

, effective communication, and proactive issue resolution.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new data technologies to improve system performance and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in 
    Computer Science

, 
Information Technology

, or a related field.
- Strong experience with 
Microsoft Azure cloud

ecosystem — particularly 
Azure Data Factory

, 
Azure Synapse

, or 
Microsoft Fabric

.
- Solid 
SQL

skills and experience with database design, optimization, and management.
- Hands-on experience with 
ETL tools

(e.g., Talend, Informatica, or Mulesoft).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (
Python

, 
Java

, or 
Unix scripting

).
- Proven experience with 
Power BI

, including 
data modelling

and 
DAX

- Experience delivering 
end-to-end data integration and analytics solutions

- Data warehousing and 
data lake

experience is highly desirable.
