Job Title: Utility Staff

Job Summary:

The Utility Staff is responsible for performing a variety of support duties to ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and operational efficiency of the facility. This role may involve cleaning, assisting with deliveries, basic maintenance, and supporting various departments as needed.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas, including floors, walls, restrooms, and equipment.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down work areas, meeting rooms, or events.
  • Perform light maintenance duties such as changing bulbs, tightening fixtures, or reporting issues.
  • Support other departments by moving supplies, equipment, or furniture.
  • Operate cleaning and maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Assist with loading/unloading deliveries or moving stock and inventory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a utility, janitorial, or maintenance role is an advantage.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, if needed.
