About the role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Payroll Officer to join our growing team at ABS FACADE INT. OPC in Iloilo City, Iloilo. You will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, reporting, and compliance ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage complex payroll operations in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Process 
    end-to-end payroll
     for assigned accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage all payroll inputs including timesheets, approved leaves, overtime, government-mandated contributions, and other deductions.
  • Update employee records in accordance with changes in job status, compensation, benefits, or statutory adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with all 
    labor laws, tax codes, and government regulations
    .
  • Coordinate with client representatives for validation, approvals, cut-off schedules, and payroll-related concerns.
  • Generate and submit periodic reports (e.g., payslips, payroll summary, remittance reports) for review and audit.
  • Handle queries from employees professionally and resolve discrepancies related to salaries, deductions, or timekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll documentation for audit readiness.
  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Finance, HR, Timekeeping) to ensure smooth payroll processing.
  • Support in payroll-related compliance reports and other mandatory filings.
  • Continuously assess and improve payroll processes to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in
    accounting, finance, or related field
    .
  • At least 2 years of payroll experience
     in a BPO or shared services environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, including applicable laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with 
    payroll software/systems
     (e.g., Employment Hero, Xero, or similar).
  • Proficient in 
    Excel and Google Sheets
     (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large volumes of data with accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Experience supporting multiple accounts is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
