1. Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure that products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. The role includes supervision of production workers, monitoring production output, enforcing company policies, and coordinating with other departments to achieve production targets.

2. Duties and ResponsibilitiesA. Production Operations

  • Supervise day-to-day production activities to meet planned schedules and output targets.
  • Ensure all processes are carried out according to SOPs, GMP, and food safety standards.
  • Monitor machine performance and coordinate with Maintenance for repairs or preventive maintenance.
  • Verify that raw materials and packaging materials are sufficient for daily operations.
  • Conduct line checks and ensure production accuracy and efficiency.

B. Quality & Food Safety

  • Ensure strict compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, and Quality Assurance guidelines.
  • Address any deviations or non-conformance issues immediately.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of production areas before, during, and after operations.

C. People Management

  • Supervise and guide production workers; ensure proper distribution of manpower.
  • Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of staff.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and orientation for new employees.
  • Enforce company rules, regulations, and safety standards.

D. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily production reports, downtime reports, and output records.
  • Maintain records of materials usage, rejects, and wastage.
  • Report any incidents, equipment issues, or safety concerns to management.

E. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all workers follow proper PPE, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and safety reminders.
  • Coordinate with Safety Officers for audits, inspections, and compliance activities.

3. Qualifications

  • Graduate of Engineering, Food Technology, or any related course.
  • At least 1–3 years experience in production supervision, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Knowledgeable in GMP, HACCP, Food Safety Standards, and 5S.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible with work schedules.
