We are seeking a highly driven Sales Officer with a strong background in merchant acquisition, compelling presentation skills, and a proven ability to close deals. This role is essential in growing our merchant network by identifying potential partners, presenting our solutions effectively, and securing successful onboarding.
Key ResponsibilitiesMerchant Acquisition
- Identify, prospect, and qualify potential merchants across targeted industries.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of merchant leads.
- Conduct market research to identify new merchant opportunities and trends.
Sales & Deal Closing
- Deliver persuasive sales pitches to decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from initial contact to negotiation and closing.
- Prepare and present business proposals tailored to merchant needs.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly merchant acquisition targets.
Presentations & Client Engagement
- Create and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations.
- Clearly communicate product value, features, and business impact to potential partners.
- Address questions, concerns, and objections with professionalism and clarity.
Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with merchants to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for new merchants during the onboarding phase.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, marketing, support) to ensure smooth merchant activation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, preferably in merchant acquisition, B2B sales, fintech, or retail partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to close deals and meet sales targets.
- Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote).
Preferred Skills
- Existing merchant or industry network is a plus.
