What you'll be doing

1. Developing and implementing comprehensive mine plans and production schedules to maximise efficiency and productivity
2. Conducting detailed analyses of mining activities, identifying areas for improvement and proposing innovative solutions
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and the achievement of key performance targets
4. Monitoring and reporting on mining activities, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies
5. Providing technical expertise and guidance to the operations team to drive continuous improvement
6. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technologies and best practices to enhance the company's mining processes

What we're looking for

1. Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
2. Minimum 5 years' experience in a mining planning or engineering role, preferably in the resources and energy sector
3. Proven track record in developing and implementing effective mine plans and production schedules
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
6. Proficiency in using industry-standard mining software and data analysis tools
7. Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental sustainability and continuous improvement
