About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft 365 services, virtualization platforms, and modern infrastructure technologies, with the ability to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient solutions that support business growth.

This role requires both hands-on technical capability and problem-solving skills to ensure system reliability, performance, and alignment with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra, Exchange, Intune, SharePoint configuration/migration, and Azure framework/design.
  • Manage and optimize virtualization platforms (e.g., Nutanix, VXRail, XCP, Proxmox, Vcenter, Hyper-V).
  • Implement and support containerisation solutions (Kubernetes and related tools).

    Oversee and maintain enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Datto, or Commvault.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and availability, proactively resolving issues.

    Develop and maintain technical documentation, processes, and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.
Requirements

Essential Experience/Knowledge:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 ecosystem: Entra, Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, Azure framework/design.
  • Solid understanding of virtualization technologies (one or more of Nutanix, VXRail, XCP, Proxmox, Vcenter, Hyper-V).
  • Hands-on experience with containerisation/Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Datto, Commvault).

Favourably Considered:

  • Knowledge of Process Control Networks (PLC/SCADA).
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint workflows and design.
  • Scripting skills in Python, Go, or PowerShell.
  • Competence with Linux CLI and services.
  • Experience managing enterprise storage solutions.
