Job description:

The Materials Planner is responsible for planning and monitoring the materials requirement of the department, both direct and indirect, ensuring accurate inventory, efficient production flow at the least possible cost. S/he is also responsible in managing inventories, collaborating with the purchasing department, placing orders, and liaising with suppliers.

KEY COMPETENCIES CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Material Resource Planning (MRP)

  • Prepares and develops Materials Requirement Plan based on production plan requirement and forecasted demand on a weekly, monthly and yearly frequency.
  • Reviews requirements movement and materials completion in order toprevent delays in production flow.
  • Plots materials delivery based on the agreed requirement per department.

Inventory Control

  • Ensures accurate inventory in the Raw Material Warehouse and Internal Non-Food Warehouse.
  • Manages the flow of inventory and ensures the materials are properly delivered on time and in-full.
  • Creates a schedule for ordering materials based on maintaining efficient inventory.

Data Analysis Interpretation

  • Accomplishes weekly and monthly reports based on On-Time and In-Full (OTIF) of products.
  • Reviews supplier reliability and reports to immediate superior if needed.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Communicate order status to internal customers in identifying products and production constraints impacting fulfillment schedule.
  • Coordinates with the involved department any deviation of supply for immediate correction.

Proactive Thinking, Team Player, Communication

  • Communicates daily with the involved department/s, informs them on significant changes, issues, and concerns.
  • Collaborates with the operations team and co-planner to align production plans based on materials availability.
  • Communicates potential and current department roadblocks to the immediate superior.
  • Consistently monitors implementation of plans and strategies in order to achieve assigned section's targets and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

● Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent

Work Experience

● Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the food manufacturing industry, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, preferably in Production Planning and Inventory Control.

Candidate must be willing to be assigned at Marian Business Park San Martin de Porres Paranaque City.
