About the role

We are seeking an experienced Design Supervisor to join our team at SM APPLIANCE (STAR APPLIANCE CENTER, INC.) in Pasay City Metro Manila. As the Design Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design and architectural drafting process for our business, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality projects. This is a full-time position based in our head office.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate the design and architectural drafting team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard
  • Do systematic schemes of store lay out
  • Review design plans and drawings to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements
  • Supervises new branches and ongoing renovation projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and construction teams, to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Manage the design and drafting budget and resources to optimise efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Visits store for checking

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of design principles, architectural drafting, and construction practices
  • Proficient in using design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
