HSSE Supervisor

Job Summary:

The HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, secure, and environmentally responsible workplace. This position is responsible for overseeing compliance with all relevant HSSE regulations and company policies, while fostering a proactive safety culture across the organization.

The HSSE Supervisor provides leadership and guidance to operational teams, conducts risk assessments, implements safety programs, and ensures that all incidents are properly reported and investigated. The role also involves continuous monitoring and improvement of HSSE performance to support sustainable and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, company HSSE policies, and international standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead and participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of preventive measures.
• Supervise and monitor workers to ensure safe practices are followed at all times.
• Organize and facilitate safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and emergency drills.
• Maintain and update HSSE records, permits-to-work, and documentation.
• Coordinate environmental protection initiatives, including waste management and pollution prevention.
• Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement in HSSE performance.
• Ensure contractors and visitors comply with all HSSE requirements while on site.
• Support crisis management and emergency response activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO Lead Auditor) are an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in HSSE roles, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
