Dealer Development Officer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a driven and organized Dealer Development Officer (DDO) to manage and grow our dealer network across both outright and consignment channels. The DDO will work closely with store managers, area managers, and dealer head office buyers, while mentoring and training promodisers to achieve their sales targets. This role is critical in ensuring smooth dealer operations, driving sales growth, and building strong, long-term partnerships with our trade partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support sales activities across assigned dealer accounts (outright and consignment).
- Train, motivate, and monitor promodisers to consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
- Facilitate and follow through dealer order processes: from in-store promodisers to store managers, area managers, and head office buyers.
- Implement and monitor trade promotions, ensuring visibility and compliance at the dealer level.
- Analyze dealer sales performance, stock levels, and sell-out data to recommend growth strategies.
- Maintain strong dealer relationships and serve as the first point of contact for resolving issues.
- Coordinate with internal sales and marketing teams for product launches, merchandising, and promotions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on dealer sales performance, promodiser activity, and competitor movements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Minimum 1–3 years' experience in dealer sales, trade marketing, or account management (preferably in appliances, FMCG, or retail).
- Experience in supervising or training promodisers/merchandisers is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and presentations.
- Willing to travel to dealer branches when needed.
- Goal-driven, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
