A caregiver's job involves assisting elderly, ill, or disabled individuals with daily activities, personal hygiene, medication management, meal preparation, and light housekeeping to improve their quality of life and independence. Caregivers also provide essential companionship and emotional support, monitor a client's health and behavior, and communicate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and personalized care.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Daily Living Assistance: Helping with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and running errands.
- Medication Management: Administering prescribed medications and providing reminders to ensure compliance.
- Mobility Support: Assisting with walking, transferring, and other physical activities to prevent falls and injuries.
- Companionship & Emotional Support: Providing conversation, engaging in activities, and offering emotional comfort to combat loneliness.
- Health Monitoring: Observing and reporting any changes in the client's physical or mental condition to family or healthcare providers.
- Safety & Environment: Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for the client.
- Communication: Communicating with doctors, nurses, and family members to coordinate care.
- Documentation: Keeping records of care activities and client health status.
Private Caregiver Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience
- Nursing Aide, Caregiving , CPR and First Aid certification is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to assist with mobility, lifting, and daily tasks
- Dependable and punctual.
- Familiarity with assistive devices (wheelchairs, Hoyer lifts, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of nutrition, hygiene, and medication reminders
- Compassionate and patient, especially with memory-impaired or mobility-limited seniors
- Respectful, trustworthy, and able to maintain client confidentiality
- Attentive to changes in client behavior or health
- Punctual, dependable, and committed to consistent care
- Able to work independently and follow care plans or instructions from family or medical staff.
- Flexibility with schedules, including evenings or weekends if needed
- Must be responsible, trustworthy, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Willing for Stay in with free meal and toiletries with government benefits
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
