Job Description:

This role functions as an Individual Contributor. Follows a selected number of clearly defined procedures under general guidance. Coordinates and initiates data cleansing and quality checks.
Until a Team Leader is appointed, the Packaging Analyst will temporarily report to the Packaging Analyst, Japanese Speaker.
The GSC Philippines Enterprise Packaging Engineering Team will be overseen by the Global Packaging Manager, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Forecast to Schedule GSC Operations Manager.

Main Responsibilities

  • Follows a variety of clearly defined procedures under general guidance within Packaging Engineering. Works independently, although the scope for discretion is limited and the output is reviewed periodically while in progress. The work priorities are defined with the manager/supervisor.
  • Uses packaging practices to provide guidance and/or training to others within the same or job-related work group.
  • Handles inquiries of moderate scope and complexity. Uses data from multiple sources and basic analytical skills to interpret information, examine variables, draw conclusions, and assess alternative methods. Most complex problem solving may require the use of increased judgment to handle some variations in conditions or operations, making decisions based on selecting from alternative courses of action using greater adaptation to circumstances when necessary.
  • Work tasks typically encompass concepts within one discipline/practice within one department/location. Working tasks might include:
1. Handles a variety of data and documentation update requests across multiple systems
2. Supports new and revised documentation in PLM including, but not limited to packaging standards
3. Enters data change requests in SAP
4. Approves data change requests for Packaging owned materials in SAP
5. Creates and maintains EWM Global Pack Specs
6. Learns and begins to apply quality management requirements to department operations
7. Participates on cross-functional teams to develop process improvements, standard operating procedures, work instructions, training, and supporting documentation.
8. Manages and/or retrieves packaging and business data from departmental systems/databases to support analysis or improvements.
  • Primary contacts are typically internal and on a professional, supervisory, or co-worker level.
  • Interaction is focused on answering routine questions directly related to the professional discipline, as well as exchanging factual information with an audience knowledgeable in the subject area.
  • Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M's values and ethical standards.
  • This role encompasses not only the primary responsibilities but also includes performing additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor level university/college degree is generally required, or higher level of education.
  • 1-3 years of related job experience
  • Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI Reporting is a plus.
  • Good command of the English Language (verbal and written).
  • Maintains a professional, positive, and tactful demeanor with clients and customers.
  • Problem solving requires the use of judgment, research, and analytic skills to determine possible solutions and make appropriate choices and decisions.
  • Ability to perform tasks through independent work and applying judgment, while collaborating in a Team Environment.
  • Able to work under pressure, independently, and with a team.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office systems.
