DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A.   Medical Examination

  1. Conducts pre-employment and annual medical examination.

  2. Performs thorough physical examination on patients for Pre-employment or Pre-regularization and Annual Medical Check-up, in-house or on-site among affiliated Industrial companies and walk-in clients, QualiMed Health Network applicants or personnel.

  3. Makes referrals to Specialists of medical cases deemed necessary for clearance purposes.
  4. Classifies and verifies client's medical examination results.
  5. Makes proper and appropriate recommendation on Pre-Employment   Medical Examination Report Form.

2.   Holds daily consultation open to all employees and applicants requiring medical clearance.

2.1.   Renders first-aid, treats injuries and illnesses and prescribes medications and other relief-giving procedures to patients.

2.2.   Recommends or advises patients on good health habits.

2.3.   Makes referrals to Specialists.

2.4. Provides medical care to restore health and earning capacity of impaired or sick personnel of the Hospital.

B.   Company Physician

  1. Organizes, administers and   maintains an Occupational Health Service Program integrating therein an Occupational Safety Program.

  2. Continually monitors the work environment for health hazards through periodic inspection of the workplace.

  3. Prevents diseases or injuries in the workplace by establishing proper medical supervision over substances used, processes, and work environment.

  4. Conserves   the   health   of   the workers through physical examinations, proper   advice for placement, and health education.

  5. Provides first aid, emergency services, and treatment depending on the nature of industry.

  6. Assures adequate medical care of ill and injured workers.

  7. Encourages personal health maintenance and physical fitness and proper nutrition practices.

  8. Provides guidance, information, and services for family planning programs.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Doctor of Medicine, Licensed; with at least Basic Occupational Health and Safety Training
