Senior Data Scientist, IBM Corporation, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina:

  1. Create models that predict at-risk systems for quality leads to take proactive action leveraging machine learning.
  2. Collaborate with Quality Leads to set targets, create metrics, and generate reports that showcase product performance against predefined targets.
  3. Provide strategic insights for investment and divestment decisions.
  4. Work with Guild teams on AI (Artificial Intelligence) and predictive modeling projects to develop and test multiple machine learning models for business solutions.
  5. Monitor AI tools and ensure they are compliant with IT Security Standards and data governance standards.
  6. Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets using Python and SQL to identify relationships and trends impacting business profitability.
  7. Develop chatbots that search large document collections to answer user questions using large language models with Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
  8. Communicate complex concepts, reports, and model results to both technical and non-technical (executive) audiences.
  9. Onboard new hardware and software products into the Smarter Data Quality Management tool to track performance at client sites.
  10. Coordinate with Service Planners and Quality Development Core Teams (QDCTs) during product release cycles to ensure all data requirements are met.
  11. Train and mentor Data Science interns, develop their skills, and identify potential new hires.
  12. Update the Smarter Data Quality Management tool with EOS dates and product name changes, informing support teams of current support statuses.
  13. Apply text analytics to refine search rules and improve text finding accuracy.
  14. Utilize tools and skills including Python, SQL, Data Visualization, Machine Learning/AI, and GitHub.

Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field (or a Bachelor's degree plus five years of progressive experience). At least one year of experience as a Data Scientist or related, including proficiency with Python, SQL, Data Visualization, Machine Learning/AI, and GitHub. Salary range: $164,814 to $212,800 per year. Full-time position.
