Reporting to: Assistant Accounting Manager

Workweek: 5-day work days

As the Specialist for Accounting (Budget), you are responsible for executing budget and forecast activities, analyzing and monitoring spending against the approved budget and compliance with the set standards. You will assist in developing and updating of budget tools, policies and procedures, and will handle special projects as assigned.

Other requirements include the following:

  • Executes Budget and Forecast Plan activities accordingly.
  • Provides guidance and coordination with cross-functional departments.
  • Consolidates, analyzes, and conducts a budget review to establish Annual Company Budget and ensures compliance with the Company Policies.
  • Monitors Actual Spending vs approved Budget.
  • Provides Monthly Budget Variance Report to the Departments and Assistant Accounting Manager.
  • Ensures proper classification of transactions and suggests necessary adjustments to settle variances.
  • Recommends cost-saving initiatives, handles special projects as assigned and assists in developing and updating budget systems, policies and procedures.

To succeed and grow in this role, you will be required to meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or any Finance and Banking related courses.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus.
  • New CPA board passers are encouraged to apply
  • At least three (3) years experience in any Finance or Accounting functions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present financial information to non-financial audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to produce useful information for decision-makers.
  • Adaptable in SAP or any similar  Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and/or Google sheet for effective organization of data.
