Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join our innovative team working on a cutting-edge digital solution project. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to derive actionable insights from a diverse set of data sources. The project aims to create a holistic representation of individuals' well-being, enabling personalized and proactive health interventions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Exploration and Preprocessing:

  • Explore and analyze diverse datasets to identify relevant features for the project.
  • Cleanse and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Model Development:

  • Design and implement machine learning models to predict and optimize wellness parameters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into the project framework.

Feature Engineering:

  • Identify and create meaningful features that enhance the predictive power of models.
  • Work closely with domain experts to incorporate relevant wellness indicators.

Algorithm Optimization:

  • Fine-tune and optimize machine learning algorithms to improve model performance.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and integrate relevant techniques.

Data Integration:

  • Integrate data from various sources with comprehensive health information.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to establish efficient data pipelines.

Validation and Testing:

  • Implement rigorous testing protocols to ensure the accuracy and robustness of models.
  • Validate model outputs against real-world wellness outcomes.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including software developers, healthcare professionals, and user experience designers.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Documentation:

  • Document methodologies, algorithms, and results to facilitate knowledge sharing and project continuity.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation for end-users.

Requirements

  • Master's (can be a student or took units) or Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science.
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, preferably in a healthcare or wellness context.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Strong background in statistical analysis and experimental design.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in handling, processing, and modeling health-related data.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards and privacy regulations.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and big data technologies.
  • Previous work on projects related to precision medicine, personalized medicine, health monitoring, tracking, and assessment.

Salary

Employment status: Project-based, 8 to 12 months

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 8-10 months

Pay: Php60,000.00 per month
