  • Perform reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Assist with closings: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance: Ensure all financial activities and reports comply with accounting principles (like GAAP) and government regulations.
  • Support audits: Prepare documentation and provide support for both internal and external audits.
  • Assist with budgeting: Help with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide financial analysis: Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and support business decisions.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency with accounting software and computerized systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
