Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identifying, debugging, and resolving issues in existing applications, and implementing enhancements.
  • Collaboration: Working effectively within Agile development teams, collaborating with front-end developers, architects, and other team members.
  • Database Integration: Designing and interacting with relational databases using technologies like JPA or JDBC.
  • API Development: Developing and consuming RESTful APIs for integration with other systems.

  • Performance Optimization: Ensuring applications are optimized for performance and scalability.

  • Experience: Proven experience in Java development, specifically with Jakarta EE or Java EE.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of Jakarta EE specifications and APIs (e.g., Servlets, JSP, EJB, JPA, CDI, JAX-RS).
  • Experience with application servers like GlassFish, WildFly, Open Liberty, or Payara.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and front-end frameworks (optional, depending on role).
