JOB SUMMARY:

Assumes responsibility for guiding team members with regard to the procedural workflow in the manufacture of connector products. Ensures orderliness in the production area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designates operators per stamping machine process
  • Prepares and checks the internal packing list and provides a copy to the Shipping Section
  • Responsible for the requisition, monitoring, and issuance of production supplies; ensures availability prior to the start of the stamping production process
  • Checks the correctness of data entry and posting to manufacturing check sheets based on ELSA requirements
  • Checks and monitors stocks at the oil room; prepares requisitions depending on required stock or inventory levels
  • Prepares and arranges overtime and working shift schedules; regularly checks the group's attendance
  • Communicates with the Production Control Section regarding the daily measurement monitoring status of materials in the turntable
  • Assigns personnel in charge of physical inventory of materials at the turntable, finished goods, and work-in-process at any given time
  • Responsible for scheduling and assigning employees for machine cleaning
  • Conducts training for newly hired employees regarding the stamping process and work instructions
  • Responsible for stopping the process whenever there is a quality problem or other conditions that may lead to non-conformance with customer requirements; ensures affected batches are contained and shipment to customers is prevented
  • Serves as file custodian of production-related documents
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the superior

SUBORDINATES:

  • Oversees and directs staff in performing production processes and meeting daily output requirements
  • Supervises staff in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Establishes employee goals and conducts performance reviews
  • Coordinates staff scheduling, including work assignments, employee training, vacations, breaks, and overtime, in coordination with the Supervisor/Manager

MANAGEMENT:

  • Responsible for meeting departmental productivity and quality goals
  • Ensures that section inventory reports are communicated to the supervisor, accomplished accurately, and submitted on time
  • Ensures that all confidential information and documents are strictly maintained
  • Ensures that quality and environmental policies are faithfully followed; 5S and safety procedures, especially the use of PPEs, are strictly practiced

COMMUNICATION:

  • Communicates effectively with other leaders and supervisors
  • Practices and maintains a high level of professionalism and business ethics
  • Provides necessary information across the organization
  • Schedules and conducts staff and cross-functional meetings and other coordination activities as deemed necessary

JOB SPECIFICATION

Education and Experience

  • Graduate of an Engineering course, preferably Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience working in a leadership position within a manufacturing firm
