Key Responsibility:
Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the pool area while providing excellent customer service. This includes monitoring pool activity, enforcing rules, maintaining a clean environment, and assisting guests with their needs. They are the first point of contact for guests and are responsible for creating a welcoming and safe atmosphere.
Safety:
- Monitoring and Enforcement:
Pool attendants constantly observe swimmers, ensuring they adhere to pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
- Emergency Response:
They are trained to respond to emergencies, such as providing basic first aid or summoning professional help when needed.
- Equipment Checks:
They regularly inspect and maintain pool equipment, like rescue equipment and safety signage, ensuring it's in good working order.
Cleanliness:
- Maintaining the Pool Area:
This includes cleaning the pool deck, restrooms, and surrounding areas, ensuring they are free of debris and hazards.
- Water Quality:
They may be responsible for checking and maintaining proper chemical levels in the pool to ensure water quality meets safety standards.
- Waste Management:
Collecting and disposing of trash and soiled towels, keeping the area tidy.
Customer Service:
- Guest Assistance:
Pool attendants assist guests with setting up lounge chairs, providing towels, and answering questions about pool rules and amenities.
- Providing a Welcoming Environment:
They greet guests, offer friendly service, and ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
- Handling Inquiries and Concerns:
They address guest questions, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Setting up Pool Furniture: Arranging lounge chairs, umbrellas, and other pool furniture as needed.
- Inventory Management: Keeping track of towels, pool supplies, and other equipment, ensuring adequate stock.
- Reporting Issues: Notifying supervisors or maintenance staff of any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- At least Highschool graduate.
- With previous experience in a similar position.
- Can perform CPR and First Aid in case of emergency.
- Strong swimming skills are essential for ensuring guest safety and potentially assisting in the water.
- Familiarity with pool chemicals, equipment, and general maintenance procedures.
