UI Designer

We are looking for a skilled UI Designer to join our Design System Team in Manila. The role supports the design and development of accessible, high-quality interfaces used across our global digital education products.

What will you do as a UI Designer?
Reporting to the UI Team Lead, your accountabilities will include:
- Designing high-fidelity, developer-ready user interfaces based on validated UX solutions and the Design System.
- Creating and maintaining UI components, documentation, and design tokens to support cross-stream development.
- Conducting design QA to ensure accuracy and accessibility of implemented interfaces.
- Collaborating with UX designers, researchers, developers, and QAs to deliver cohesive product experiences.
- Contributing to the continuous evolution of the Design System through new patterns and interface improvements.

An ideal candidate has the following qualities:
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering accessible, developer-ready user interfaces
- Strong understanding of design systems, components, tokens, and documentation workflows
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across UX, research, development, and QA teams
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple design streams while maintaining quality and consistency
- Proficient in Figma, with a solid grasp on interaction design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA).
Desirable:
- Familiarity with frontend implementation concepts (HTML, CSS, Storybook)
- Experience working within multi-stream or scaled agile environments
- Interest in design automation, process improvement, or developer collaboration tools
